Big changes

Kyle got an internship with Pacific Gas & Electric for the summer in San Francisco. We found out and few days ago and get details tomorrow, this is crazy fast!

Hazel turned 4 months old today and has already grown out of her 3-6 month clothes.

Today Dillan sang "The Wise Man Built His House Upon a Rock" for Hazel (it kept her calm during Tummy Time). He knew most of the words and did all the actions for her, it was adorable!

I am trying not to freak out with one week to move, find a place to live, wrap my head around the fact that I'm leaving, and it will be first time I've ever lived in a city.

I think its been a month since I last posted, so there are a lot of pictures and videos.

Aren't we a cute family?

Dillan tried to do push ups. He couldn't, he fell, but looked good doing it!

Yes, he is giving himself a pedicure, on my bed.

He's making oatmeal. He can pretty much do all the stirring until it's done without even burning himself!

She can roll onto her side!

Dillan's new helmet. He took it to bed with him several times (slept with it next to him, not on his head). He also wore it to Costco and just around the house a lot.

This is a shout out to my Tanner heritage!

Kyle didn't want me to put this video up, but I think its important as a glimpse of "real life" with kids this age.

Hazel is improving at tummy time. She can look around and squirm a bit.

She figured out some hand-eye coordination and can now grab at toys!

Sometimes Dillan even gets Hazel's binky and sits in there. I'm not sure why he pretends to be a baby.

We got him a bike. Since then he has gotten a lot better at pedaling, but he still hasn't mastered it. He pretty much wants to ride his bike all the time and drives us crazy asking about it or crying about it.

Yah, I taught him that.

Recent Conversations with Dillan

Dillan: Play soccer outside?
Daddy: No, we can't play soccer outside.
Dillan: My socks will get dirty?

We've been working on getting Dillan to say that his name is Dillan. The fruits of our labors:
Daddy: Dillan what is your name?
Dillan: Me!
Daddy: No, your name is Dillan. Dillan, how old are you?
Dillan: Dillan!

3 Months (a quarter of a year!), 500 diapers, 900 wipes, and that's just Hazel!

This is my third try to do this blog post. The first time Dillan turned off the computer. The second the computer froze. So if it isn't peppy it's because I'm ticked.

Dillan's first night in his new bed. He was too excited to wait a day for new sheets, so one of our queen sheets was used.
My map, which I love! It has taken me 8 months to figure out what would best fill that huge blank space on the wall. It feels like home because my parents have a similar map in their house.
So smiley! This is actually kind of rare. She's a crier.

I thought I was being such a great mom when I took Dillan to pick out his sheets. It turns out he isn't at the right age to care or understand that these will be on his bed for years. It's Lighting McQueen. I think it's cool.

We call this the Albanian Dance. Men in Albania walk with their hands clasped behind their back. Dillan has started exploring the world of dance as presented to him by Kyle. He can do some fun stuff when he's in the mood!

This is on her 3 month birthday. She loves to talk!
This is her new past time. Usually she chokes after 2 minutes and then goes right back at it.He loves his "puter." And he knows how to get the power cord plugged in and almost all the buttons.

Spring Break 2011

Cookie Time with the cousins Happy Hazel! Grandpa's got the magic touch!
Another one of Dillan's photo's, what a photographer.
Hazel in the bottom of her port-a-crib for the first time.
Dillan is sick, what a nose! This is first thing in the morning.
Hazel was relocated while I switched out her bassinet. She upgraded to a Queen, lucky girl!
I call this: Hobo Hazel. Cutest Hobo I ever saw.
Super Daddy, holding both kids at once!
Hiking in Silver Falls Park.
This view is from behind North Falls waterfall, looking out.
The front of the same waterfall, you can see the overhang we were standing under.
Winter Falls, and Dillan's first hike! Well, first hike he did on his own feet.
We should get paid for this kind of publicity!
