Happy 2 Months Hazel

Dillan is learning to play by himself. What a great change! It's a little sad too, like he doesn't need me anymore. Hazel is learning to make sounds, hold her head up, and deal with having a big brother!
Off to church!

She finally noticed the mobile that's been dangling above her head for 2 months!

He looks so lonely, playing all by himself! But he's so satisfied with his project!

What a good big brother!

At first Dillan was telling her about Dragons and showing her the DVD case of "How to Train Your Dragon." She pays very close attention to Dillan.

Hazel, One Month

Dillan's funny quote of the week: Mom: "Will you put that in your toy box?" Dillan: "Uuuummmm....No way......No way"
Dillan is still adjusting to his little sister. He doesn't ever want to hold her, when he tells me he wants to hold her, he really just wants to take her away from me so I can play with him. He's learned to put the binky back in her mouth. Everything has to belong to someone. A few things are designated as Hazel's and everything else is Dillan's: the couch, the car, our blankets, wallets, phones...He still likes to have "tummy time" with Hazel, but he just plays on a big blanket, usually wrapping himself up in it.
Dillan likes to share with Hazel. That's his new basketball.
Can you "spot" the baby? Ha ha!

Baby blessing, February 6, 2011. I made Hazel's dress!

My Moby Wrap (I made it), Hazel's in there. This is how I get my grocery shopping done, with Dillan sitting in the cart.

Dillan still called that bowl "Grandma's helmet" weeks after she was gone.

Our first Sunday. Well, Hazel's first time attending church.

Tummy Time! And Hazel starring in her first video!

Grandpa Tanner's Visit

Dillan learned how to use Grandpa's camera. He is now a budding photographer. This picture was taken upside down orginally.

This is the end of Dillan's first photography exhibition.

Being gentle and trying to hold Hazel.

Climbing the Willamette University Football Stadium and watching the girls' softball team.

Grandpa built a temple (as requested by Dillan) with "angel Moroni" on top.

Bathtime!

Dillan wanted me to sit on his lap.

Our New Family: One week old

Family update: Hazel is practicing her smiles, mostly by twitching.
Dillan is realizing that his baby sister is here to stay and he's getting more emotional everyday.
Dillan always wants to have tummy time when Hazel does. Our little angel, all ready for church. What a girl!
Our new family.

Dillan likes to bounce Hazel when she starts fussing.
Family tummy time.
Home from the hospital, Dillan doesn't understand.
Family Reading Time! Dillan wouldn't let go of Hazel, it didn't matter that she was crying. When I tried to take her away he panicked, grabbed her, and said "Wanna hold her!"
